ANP Conducted Inspections in 13 Federative Units, Verifying Fuel Quality, Correct Volume, Equipment and Documentation of Companies, Prioritizing Areas with Suspected Irregularities.

The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) intensified its inspection in various regions of Brazil, aiming to guarantee product quality and consumer safety. From May 20 to 23, inspections were conducted at gas stations and distributors to verify company compliance with current legislation.

In addition to inspecting the establishments, the ANP also conducted supervision of the equipment used, checking if they were functioning properly and in accordance with established standards. The results of these control actions will be released soon, aiming to maintain transparency and compliance with sector regulations.

Inspection Actions: Verification of Fuel Quality

During the inspection actions, the inspectors checked the quality of fuels, ensuring the correct volume is provided by the measuring pumps. Additionally, they verified the adequacy of the equipment and instruments necessary for the proper handling of products, as well as the authorization documentation for the operation of companies and the movement of fuels.

Situation in Rio Grande do Sul

The ANP is paying attention to the public calamity situation in Rio Grande do Sul, continuing to carry out supervision, monitoring, and mitigation actions regarding the effects on fuel supply in the region. Follow the latest measures taken by the Agency: https://www.gov.

Main Actions in Rio Grande do Sul and Other Regions of the Country

In Rio Grande do Sul, 41 reselling stations in different cities were inspected. In Xangri-lá, two nozzles and one gasoline tank that was out of specification were banned at a reselling station. This station had broken the seals of previous ban from the ANP.

The ANP also issued guidelines to fuel stations in the state to ensure the quality of the products offered to consumers, especially due to possible contamination resulting from rains and flooding. Actions in Minas Gerais

In Minas Gerais, the ANP conducted inspections in various municipalities, totaling 23 inspection actions. Of these, 20 were at stations and three at GLP resales. In Ipatinga, a joint action with IPEM resulted in the sanctioning of a station by the ANP due to the malfunctioning of the densitometer attached to the ethanol pump.

Sanctions also occurred in other municipalities for reasons such as lack of instruments for fuel analysis and malfunction of the densitometer, without precautionary bans.

Inspection in São Paulo

In the state of São Paulo, 10 fuel reselling stations were inspected, along with two economic agents not regulated by the ANP and seven solvent distributors in various cities. In Paulínia, inspectors worked with the Civil Police to verify installations and collect fuel samples at two agents not regulated by the ANP.

In Santo André, a reselling station was sanctioned for breaking seals and for having a fuel storage tank not properly interconnected.
