This is the Honda CB750 Hornet, which has returned to the European market. The model is the Japanese sport motorcycle that returned after being discontinued in 2014, leaving a legion of sad fans.
It is worth mentioning that, despite having a more modern design, the new naked bike brings back elements from the old model. Thus, having been unveiled last year, one of the major innovations is that the new Hornet’s engine structure has been borrowed from two well-known bikes, the Africa Twin and CRF450, with dual overhead camshafts. Considering that the sporty Honda Hornet reaches high speeds, the 755 cc engine requires the operation of four valves to improve its cooling. It is worth noting that the new generation of the Hornet has a length of 2.10 meters, a wheelbase of 1.41 m, and a height of 1.06 m.
The fuel tank of the new Honda CB750 Hornet has a capacity of 15.1 liters, offering a range of approximately 340 km for the model.
How Much Will the New Honda Hornet Cost?
The new Hornet has hit the European motorcycle market with three optional packages, namely Sport (adding quickshifters for sequential gear changes and customized footpegs); Style (custom handlebar, tank protector, and finishing); and Touring (rear luggage rack).
Outside Brazil, the motorcycle costs about €7,900, equivalent to R$ 42,12 thousand at the current exchange rate. It is important to note that the new Honda CB750 Hornet would be much more expensive than that if it were to arrive in the Brazilian market. However, as of now, its import has not been confirmed yet, but according to media reports, the Japanese brand is already considering the possibility.
Launched in Brazil in 2004, the Hornet was a sales success and continues to have a legion of fans. It topped the ranking of the most sold naked motorcycles in the country until it was discontinued in 2014, with nearly 50,000 units sold.
The first generation arrived in Brazil in 2004, but as a 2005 model. The naked featured a four-cylinder, 599 cc engine, derived from the sport model CBR 600. Still carbureted, it produced 96.5 horsepower at 12,000 RPM and 6.43 kgfm of torque at 9,500 RPM.
Honda Confirms New Motorcycle Under R$ 8 Thousand in the Brazilian Market – Honda CB100
The new Honda CB100 is already a big success in the Colombian market, which is not surprising, considering that it is an affordable motorcycle highly sought after by professionals. For example, the Honda CB 100 has become an essential choice for motorcycle taxi drivers and app deliverers. Due to these characteristics, the bike is quickly gaining extensive consumer adoption.
The new Honda motorcycle has already been registered in Brazil, but the company has not commented on the matter through its official channels.
In the Colombian market, the new Honda motorcycle is sold at an attractive price. It currently costs around 6,100,000 pesos, which, in direct conversion to our currency, would amount to around R$ 8,100. According to reports, it achieves 75 km per liter.
A moto Honda que venderia igual pão quente no Brasil seria a CB1000. Com visual similar à CB750 dos anos 70, banco reto, muito conforto, potencia, posição de condução para pessoas normais e não JASPIONS, agradaria a uma legião de fãns, tanto aqui quanto no mundo todo.
Não dá pra entender a Honda. A melhor moto do mundo deveria ter mais modelos aqui.
