The Electric Car Blazer EV, From Multinational Chevrolet (GM), Surprises With 530 Km Range, Sufficient for Interstate Trips, Like From São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro
The sales of electric cars have been growing worldwide! Chevrolet, from the General Motors Group, estimates that its electric vehicles will have a total cost of ownership comparable to combustion engine vehicles, by the second half of this decade!
Only in the first half of 2022, the global sales volume saw a 75% increase compared to the same period last year. The range of models, significant investments in charging infrastructure and stricter emission laws have been the main drivers for this growth.
With the average price of kWh of batteries dropping to almost half in recent years, along with the development of new chemical compounds and larger-scale production, the value is expected to decline even further, becoming 30% less by the middle of the decade.

Furthermore, the reduction in battery costs that power EVs directly influences the price of electric cars compared to traditional combustion engine cars.
Chevrolet Estimates That The Production of Electric Cars Will Have Costs Comparable to Combustion Engine Vehicles
Chevrolet, a brand of the General Motors Group, projects that the new generation of batteries, using Ultium technology, will cost 40% less than the current product line. The multinational is already working on an even more advanced composition, which will allow its electric vehicles to have a total acquisition cost comparable to combustion engine vehicles, considering similar sizes and equipment.
According to General Motors, the expectation is that this will happen as early as the second half of this decade, including compact models, which are also designed for South America.
The lifespan of the batteries and extensive warranty plans are making used car consumers more confident. Additionally, another feature of these new generation batteries is their higher energy density, being able to store a greater amount of energy without needing to increase their size.
The Blazer EV, which is already part of the electric generation from the multinational General Motors, is already equipped with Ultium technology, becoming a benchmark for future electric vehicles from Chevrolet announced for the Brazilian market.
The Blazer SUV EV surprises with its range, estimated at 530 kilometers on a full charge. That is more than enough for interstate trips, like from São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro. Along the way, it is possible to make an ultra-fast recharge at charging stations. There, it only takes 10 minutes to gain 130 kilometers.
