New Apple Update Brings Security Features, Real-Time Translation and Unique Visual Focused on Fluidity

Apple officially began distributing iOS 26 to iPhone users on Monday, September 15, 2025.

The announcement had been made the previous week. At that time, the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, AirPods Pro 3, and the Watch SE 3, Series 11, and Ultra 3 were launched.

The update is available starting from the iPhone 11 and iPhone SE (2nd generation). It promises to integrate enhanced security, Liquid Glass interface, and new features with Apple Intelligence.

Compatible Models with the Update

To install iOS 26, the user must go to Settings > General > Software Update.

Not all devices are compatible. The update will be available for the following models:

iPhone SE (2nd generation or later)
iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max
iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max
iPhone 16, 16e, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max
iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max
iPhone Air

This list marks an important transition. Models prior to the iPhone 11 are excluded, solidifying Apple’s focus on newer devices.

Liquid Glass Visual and AI Integration

Among the major changes, the new Liquid Glass design stands out.

Apple strengthened protection against theft with the feature “Protection for Stolen Device”.

This feature is factory activated and prevents resetting Face ID without deactivating the protection.

Another relevant feature is the ability to hide apps. They are stored in a special folder and do not generate visible notifications.

The call screening improves control over unknown calls.

The user can receive information from the sender before deciding to answer the call.

Moreover, the Passwords app received improvements.

Now there is a history of combinations, integrated two-factor authentication, and automatic generation of complex passwords.

With that, iOS 26 enhances users’ digital protection.

New Features in Services and Native Apps

Several services have received recent updates. In Apple Music, for example, lyrics translation and the Sing mode were added, turning the iPhone into a microphone integrated with Apple TV. Moreover, Wallet now organizes order tracking with AI, consequently enhancing daily usability.
