BYD Launches Aggressive Campaign in Brazil with Discounts of Up to R$ 100 Thousand, Renews Portfolio with the Dolphin GS 2026 More Accessible and Heats the Electric Car Market.

BYD surprised the Brazilian automotive market by launching an unprecedented clearance sale, offering discounts of up to R$ 100 thousand on its main models and making the electric vehicle segment even more competitive. The action, valid from July 25 to 26, aims to make room for the arrival of the 2026 line and, at the same time, attract new consumers to the brand, which has already established itself as one of the leaders in sales of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in Brazil.

The main highlight of the campaign is the fully electric seven-seater SUV BYD Tan 2025, which underwent a drastic price cut: from R$ 539,890 to R$ 439,890. The reduction of R$ 100 thousand places the model in a price range closer to hybrid SUVs and even combustion models in the premium segment, making it an attractive alternative for those who wish to transition to electric mobility without paying more for it.

BYD Discounts 2025: Aggressive Campaign Changes Price Threshold

BYD’s offensive is not limited to the Tan. The Dolphin GS hatchback, one of the latest models in the portfolio and which has already been gaining traction for its urban and accessible proposal, is also offering discounts of up to R$ 10 thousand, in addition to easier financing conditions.

The crossover Yuan Plus, a favorite among the brand’s customers, received factory bonuses and advantages for those trading in a used car. The sporty sedan Seal, in turn, joined the campaign focusing on the inventories of the 2024 line, signaling that the brand is determined to renew its portfolio.

With significant discounts and aggressive negotiations, the two-day campaign is not just a strategy to move inventories: it sends a clear message that BYD intends to continue setting the pace in the electrified vehicle market in the country.

Dolphin GS Cheaper: Hatch Gains Urban Appeal and Easier Access

The recently launched Dolphin GS represents BYD’s strategy of “affordable electrification.” Compact, modern, and better equipped in the 2026 version, it now appears with reduced prices and financing options with a low down payment, which expands the target audience and facilitates access for those wanting an urban electric car without compromising their budget.

This policy of discounts and upgrades aligns with BYD’s plan to mainstream the use of electric vehicles, breaking down one of the biggest barriers to adoption: the initial price. By making the Dolphin GS cheaper, the automaker strengthens its presence in a segment where there is still great potential for growth.

Stock Clearance BYD: Goal is to Make Room for the 2026 Line

The promotional action does not happen by chance. BYD is on the verge of starting national vehicle manufacturing, a milestone that promises to reduce costs and increase the competitiveness of its models in Brazil. Before that, however, it is necessary to clear the lots and adjust the inventory, creating space for the new 2026 line, which will bring improvements in equipment and visual updates.

The stock clearance, therefore, serves two purposes: it accelerates the exit of current models and generates anticipation for upcoming launches. At the same time, it places pressure on rivals who are still trying to find a pricing strategy to compete with the Chinese brand.

BYD Price Cuts: Market Impact and Competitors’ Response

The cut of up to R$ 100 thousand on BYD models draws attention and has the potential to affect the pricing of other electric vehicle manufacturers. Brands such as Tesla, Volvo, and BMW, which compete in the premium segment, and even automakers focusing on hybrids, like Toyota and Lexus, may feel the effects of this aggressive adjustment.

Additionally, the campaign puts pressure on manufacturers of combustion vehicles, as the price difference between an electric car and a similar gasoline or diesel model considerably decreases. This could accelerate consumer interest from those who were undecided between sticking with traditional vehicles or betting on electrification.

BYD Promotion Brazil: Special Conditions Move Dealerships

BYD dealerships nationwide recorded intense demand from the first announcements of the campaign, with lines of interested customers and advance reservations to guarantee the models with the largest discounts. Dealers highlight that the BYD Tan is the most sought after, given the significant price cut, but the Dolphin GS and Yuan Plus also attract consumers looking for more urban and accessible options.

In addition to direct discounts, BYD offers differentiated financing conditions, bonuses for trading in used cars, and, in some cases, included maintenance packages. The goal is to remove any barriers for the customer to choose to make a purchase in the short term.

The initiative reinforces BYD’s expansion strategy in Brazil, where the company already holds a prominent position. By aligning aggressive price cuts with the prospect of local production, the automaker signals that it intends not only to sell more but to dominate the narrative of electrification in the country.

Turning Point for Those Dreaming of Acquiring an Electric Car

This stock clearance could become a turning point, showing that the price drop of electric vehicles is an irreversible trend. At the same time, it prepares the ground for the 2026 line to arrive with full force and keep the brand as a reference.

With discounts reaching R$ 100 thousand and the imminent arrival of the 2026 line, BYD is not only moving the electric car market in Brazil — it is redefining the rules of the game. The stock clearance strategy, combined with enhanced equipment and accessibility of the Dolphin GS and other models, shows an automaker that is not afraid to be bold.

Whether to clear space in the lots, win new customers, or pressure competition, the campaign makes it clear that BYD is willing to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles — and to do so at high speed.
