According to information from Money Times, Minas Gerais is on the radar of Paper Excellence for the construction of a new pulp factory. The Sino-Indonesian company is negotiating with state authorities to define the location of the unit, which could represent an investment of approximately US$ 4 billion and create more than 2,000 direct jobs.

This should boost the local economy and expand its operations in the competitive Brazilian pulp market. The confirmation of the project still depends on feasibility studies and logistical and environmental factors.
