New national generation of the Audi Q3 returns to Brazil more powerful, technological, and sophisticated, targeting premium German rivals and ignoring the aggressive advance of Chinese brands in the luxury SUV market

Audi has officially started sales of the third generation of the new Q3 2027 in Brazil and took the launch as an opportunity to send a clear message to the premium market: its competition remains focused on the traditional German brands BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Once again produced in São José dos Pinhais, Paraná, the new Audi Q3 and Q3 Sportback arrive more powerful, technological, and sophisticated, symbolizing the resumption of the brand’s national manufacturing in the country.

The models have already arrived at Brazilian dealerships in a single Launch Edition quattro version. The new Audi Q3 SUV starts at R$ 389,990, while the Audi Q3 Sportback costs R$ 399,990. Despite the growth of Chinese automakers in the electrified and hybrid SUV segment, Audi states that the Q3 consumer profile remains focused on rivals BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.

The information was released by “Motor1.com” in a specialized report on the launch of the new generation of Audi’s premium SUV in Brazil, including technical details, equipment, performance, and the German brand’s strategic positioning in the national market.

Additionally, the manufacturer highlights that its main direct competitors still do not offer all-wheel drive in equivalent versions. Thus, the quattro system continues to be one of the central pillars of the new Q3’s strategy.

New Audi Q3 2027 gains more power and sporty performance

One of the biggest novelties of the new generation appears under the hood. The Audi Q3 2027 retains the well-known 2.0 TFSI turbo engine, but now delivers 258 horsepower and 37.7 kgfm of torque. This represents a significant leap compared to the previous generation, which offered 231 hp and 34.6 kgfm.

Furthermore, the brand replaced the old conventional automatic transmission with the new seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic automated system. The set works in partnership with the traditional quattro all-wheel drive, reinforcing the sporty profile of the premium SUV.

According to Audi, the new Q3 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h. Although the numbers are impressive, the manufacturer also claims to have refined the driving dynamics to offer more comfort in daily use.

The Audi drive select system has also been updated. Now, the old Auto mode is replaced by the new Balanced mode, created to balance comfort, stability, and sportiness.

In practice, the suspension has become more comfortable than in the previous generation. During highway use, the new Audi Q3 better absorbs road irregularities and provides a more refined driving sensation.

However, part of the sportiness has been softened. Even so, the SUV continues to offer high safety in quick direction changes and high-speed curves.

Another important highlight involves sound insulation. Audi added front windows with a special acoustic film produced by Fuyao. As a result, the internal noise level dropped significantly, bringing the acoustic comfort of the model closer to that of some modern electric vehicles.

More modern design brings SUV closer to Audi’s larger models

Visually, the new Audi Q3 2027 abandoned some of the straight lines of the previous generation and began to follow the latest global identity of the German manufacturer.

At the front, the headlights became narrower and more aggressive. In addition, the traditional Singleframe grille was redesigned, while the new 2D Audi Rings bring the SUV closer to the brand’s larger models, such as the Q5 and Q6.

At the rear, the interconnected taillights and illuminated logos enhance the sophisticated look. Meanwhile, the Audi Q3 Sportback bets on a sportier profile, with a roof 42 mm lower compared to the conventional SUV.

Inside, the cabin has become even more technological. The model debuts the concept called by Audi as a “digital stage,” with a driver-oriented dashboard and integrated panoramic screens.

The SUV features an 11.9-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus and a 12.8-inch curved multimedia center. Additionally, it offers wireless integration with smartphones and ambient lighting configurable in 30 different colors.

Another important change involves the gear selector. For the first time in the model, it is installed on the steering column. This way, Audi freed up more space in the center console.

The finish has also evolved. The internal materials present a more refined appearance and a premium feel closer to the brand’s larger models.

Equipment, dimensions, and safety reinforce the SUV’s premium proposition

The Launch Edition quattro version arrives extremely complete in Brazil. Among the main equipment are:

  • Three-zone digital air conditioning
  • Electric front seats with memory and heating
  • Reclining and sliding rear seats
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • 19-inch Audi Sport wheels
  • Keyless system with proximity opening
  • Electric opening trunk
  • Full LED Plus headlights with configurable DRL
  • ACC with lane-keeping assist
  • Autonomous emergency braking
  • Fatigue detector
  • Parking assistant
  • Seven airbags

Additionally, the Audi Sound System delivers 260W of power with ten speakers and different equalization modes.

In terms of dimensions, both the Audi Q3 and the Q3 Sportback are 4,531 mm long, 2,087 mm wide, and have a wheelbase of 2,681 mm. However, the Sportback is shorter in height, at 1,559 mm, while the conventional SUV reaches 1,601 mm.

The trunk varies between 488 and 575 liters depending on the configuration of the rear seats.

Despite many advancements, some points still drew criticism. The rear space does not impress for an SUV costing nearly R$ 400,000. Additionally, the model does not offer a blind spot monitor or lane centering system in the evaluated units.

Even so, Audi bets that the new Q3 will remain competitive against traditional German rivals. Meanwhile, Chinese SUVs continue to advance in the market with more interior space, electrification, and aggressive pricing.

In the end, the new generation of the Audi Q3 makes it clear that the German brand continues to bet on premium tradition, dynamic refinement, and driving experience to compete for customers in the Brazilian luxury segment.

If you had R$ 400,000 available today, would you choose a traditional German SUV or bet on an electrified Chinese model?
