The Purpose Of Investments For Oil Exploration
The focus of these investments will be on projects for the renewal and enhancement of mature fields, with the installation of five new production units and more than 200 new oil wells by 2027. One of the new production units is the Maria Quitéria floating platform, which will be operated in the Jubarte field, located in the Espírito Santo portion of the Campos Basin.
Scheduled to start production in 2025, the project will bring new opportunities to the region. Another highlighted initiative is the revitalization of the Albacora Field, Petrobras’ first giant field in deep waters. Set to begin production in 2027, this revitalization will be an important investment for the company, as it will have the capacity to produce 120,000 barrels per day and process 6 million cubic meters of gas per day.

With confirmed investments in oil exploration, a promising scenario is expected for Espírito Santo, driving regional development and strengthening the state’s position as an important hub for oil and gas exploration and production in the country.
