Brazil and India take their relationship to another level; Bolsonaro and the president of India signed 15 bilateral oil and gas agreements today

One of the largest number of agreements signed by a Brazilian president on an official visit, 15 in total. Thus, relations between Bolsonaro and the president of India reach another level

Bolsonaro and the president of India confirmed the signing of 15 bilateral agreements, in a ceremony at Hyderabad House, the palace that the Indian government uses for banquets and meetings with foreign visitors. India is varying its demand for oil and remains willing to reach agreements with countries like Brazil, informed Indian Minister Pradhan.

The deepening of the strategic relationship between Brazil and India comes with an action plan to run through 2023, whereby countries will track the 15 agreements announced today and examine others to be included later.

Among the commitments signed between Bolsonaro and the president of India are a memorandum for the production of biofuels, an agreement for mutual assistance in the criminal area and a treaty to facilitate investment in cooperation in livestock and dairy production, also passing through the defense area.

Considered of the utmost importance the memorandum of understanding on cooperation to promote the production and use of biofuels, including ethanol, biodiesel, biokerosene and biogas, as well as bioenergy and co-products and by-products.

Another agreement is on mutual assistance in criminal matters, especially in combating corruption, money laundering, illicit human trafficking, drugs, firearms, ammunition and explosives, terrorism and its financing.

    7. Memorandum of Understanding on Cyber ​​Security (GSI Heleno)
    8. Scientific and technological cooperation program 2020-2023 (MCTIC Marcos Pontes)
    9. Memorandum of Understanding “APEX invest India” (APEX Sérgio Segovia)
    10. Joint statement in the field of livestock and dairy production (Sec. M.Agro. Jorge Seif Jr)
    11. Memorandum of understanding on the establishment of institutions in bioenergy (MCTIC Marcos Pontes)
