Renewable energy market heats up the construction management sector. The so-called proprietary engineering emerges as a catalyst for technical expertise in the successful development of this market

The heating up of the renewable energy market has transformed Brazil into a large green construction site. There are 84 wind farms in the design phase and 21 under construction, in addition to the increase in solar power plants that have raised the country to the 14th position among the nations with the greatest solar generation capacity.

Behind this “boom”, there is a transformation in the concept of construction sites, with the growth of the role of proprietary engineering.

The function arises from the need to achieve maximum efficiency, in the intensive use of technology, without neglecting environmental and social responsibilities, even in projects located outside major centers and with great logistical difficulties.

In this way, the engineering offices, specialists in different phases of works, assumed the entire scope of project development, including the purchase of equipment and materials for the work, in addition to monitoring the construction process, acting, literally as if they were the eyes from the owner.
