By 2030, the Brazilian Market Will Need an Average of 80 Thousand Charging Stations for Electric Cars, with the Aim to Electrify with Solar Energy
A study from the Emotive project predicts that Brazil will need 80 thousand charging stations by 2030 to keep up with the growth pace of the electric vehicle market, also betting on the use of solar energy. By then, the expectation is that the fleet of pure or hybrid vehicles will reach two million units in circulation.

New Network of Solar-Powered Charging Stations Launched in Brazil
The project is the result of a R$ 33 million investment and aims to further facilitate the use of electric cars on Brazilian highways. In addition to São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, and Brasília will receive charging points.
The first charging station is already operational and located in Caraguatatuba, on the northern coast of São Paulo. The area was chosen for being an important transit point, according to the project’s creators.
