Growth And Economic Impact In São Marcos Bay
The collaboration between Bunker One and Acelen in São Marcos Bay (MA) reaches a significant milestone in the first three months, with almost 50 large vessels refueled. This success signals the region’s potential for the maritime economy and state development. A 40% to 50% increase in refueling operations is expected for 2024, highlighting the strategic relevance of the partnership.
Flavio Ribeiro, CEO of Bunker One Brazil, emphasizes the geographical efficiency and anticipated growth for the coming year. “This strategic alliance with Acelen has allowed us to meet a growing and important demand in the region,” he states. For his part, Cristiano da Costa from Acelen highlights the ongoing and upward commitment of the operation, aiming to double the production allocated to bunker Brazil.
Innovation In Logistics And Local Impacts
Notably, the operation introduced the concept of ‘bunker-only calls’, where ships plan strategic stops in the region for refueling, representing 15% of the total volume. This logistical innovation allows for the supply of fuel without affecting loading and unloading operations, optimizing time and costs.
