The Dealership Will Reach Bahia Still in 2022. Besides Salvador, BYD Promises to Implement Its Expansion Project for the Electric Car Brand Throughout Brazil.
Now Bahia will also have a dealership for Electric Cars from BYD Brazil. The GNC Group has been appointed to be BYD’s representative in Bahia and will open a unit in Salvador in the first half of this year. The announcement of the new dealership is part of BYD Brazil’s strategic plan to open around 45 electric car dealerships in the main Brazilian capitals by the end of 2022.
BYD’s Expansion Plan in Brazil
According to BYD Brazil’s sales director, Henrique Nunes, the automaker continues with its expansion plan throughout Brazil. The BYD dealership in Bahia, according to Nunes, represents the automaker’s debut in the Northeast.
The sales director of BYD Brazil concluded by saying that everyone is very happy with the new partnership between BYD and the GNC Group, which is an important group in the automotive world. Now we just have to wait for the announcement of other northeastern Brazilian states that will receive additional BYD dealerships soon.

Major Achievements of BYD That Keep the Network Stronger Than Ever
BYD has already made important announcements in its strategic plan to consolidate the brand in Brazil. For example, Eurobike will be inaugurated in a few days in São Paulo and has been named the first dealership in the State.
Eurobike is already selling the BYD Tan EV at Shopping JK Iguatemi in São Paulo (capital) until April 8, providing customers the opportunity to learn about the model and take a test drive. Moving to Paraná, Servopa has been appointed as the brand representative in Curitiba, but the dealership opening is only expected around mid-June.
The group also reported that two more stores will be opened in Paraná, one in Londrina and another in Maringá. In Porto Alegre, there will be the headquarters dealership of BYD Brazil, with the support of the IESA group, which has also been appointed for two cities in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, namely Caxias do Sul and Passo Fundo. The Águia Branca group has also been confirmed as a BYD representative in the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo.
It is estimated that five units will be inaugurated still this year, one in Belo Horizonte, another in Uberlândia, and one in Juiz de Fora (MG), as well as the cities of Vitória and Vila Velha in Espírito Santo.
