Its technical package had cuts compared to more complete versions: it lost the panoramic sunroof, 360° camera, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and collision warning with emergency automatic braking.

On the other hand, it retained items such as six airbags, leather seats, a 12.3-inch digital panel, a 10.25” multimedia center, keyless entry, electronic brake, digital air conditioning, wireless phone charger, rain sensor, electric mirrors, etc.
The engine has been changed: the 1.6 turbo gasoline engine with 187 hp and the dual-clutch transmission (seven speeds) have been replaced by a 1.5 turboflex engine with 150 hp, torque of 21.4 kgfm, combined with a CVT transmission with nine simulated gears.
Main Problems Reported by Owners
- CVT Automatic Transmission: this is the most cited defect. Users report transmission failures even in new cars, including those with only a few days of use or very low mileage.
- High Fuel Consumption: many owners claim that the car consumes more than estimated by the manufacturer.

There are specific reports from users who experienced transmission failure shortly after purchase. One emblematic case: a customer from Porto Alegre (RS) bought the vehicle with 247 km on the odometer, and within eight days, the car stopped working.
The transmission needed to be replaced, a service that took about 40 days.
“On January 3, 2025, we picked up the Tiggo 7 Sport at the dealership in Porto Alegre (RS). We were very happy because the car is beautiful, has an impressive design, both inside and out, and drives very well. The following weekend, we woke up early because we had plans to go to Gramado to enjoy the new car on a trip. Before we hit the road, the car stopped in the middle of the street and, in no way (sic), moved again. This happened eight days after we got the car, with [only] 247 km on the odometer,”
Manufacturer Position on Warranty Cases
In response to owners who experienced problems, the company has been replacing the transmission at no cost when the defect is covered by the factory warranty.
In the mentioned case from Porto Alegre, the owner received assistance through the brand’s customer service, was provided with a loaner car during the repair, but complained about the delay.

The interior space, comfort, driving quality, and retained equipment are well appreciated.
The trunk stands out for its capacity (525 liters), considered spacious for the size of the SUV.
