The partnership between Eve Urban Air Mobility, a subsidiary of Embraer, and Helisul Aviation, a company that works with helicopters, includes 50 electric take-off and vertical landing cars, known as eVTOL, scheduled for delivery in 2026.
Last week, the company that works with flying cars, Embraer, announced that it received an order from Halo, which involved approximately 200 units of the eVTOL also for 2026. According to Embraer, the Halo order is the largest order for flying cars in the urban air mobility sector.
The agreement with Halo also provided for the company to work together with Embraer to create a new flying vehicle operation in the United States and United Kingdom.
Returning to the agreement with Helisul, at first the companies will work with helicopters to analyze parameters that can be used in the future by flying cars. The partnership between the companies also promises to develop services and products that enable vehicle operations, such as air traffic management solutions.
Companies commented on the partnership
According to the Commercial Director of Helisul Aviation, Luis Carlos Munhoz da Rocha, this partnership with Eve, from Embraer, is a reason for great joy and satisfaction for his company, bearing in mind that Eve is able to anticipate and meet the needs from the market.
He says that with cities growing more and more and traffic becoming more and more congested, the partnership between the two companies to build intelligent and practical solutions for air vehicles aims to improve the quality of life in large cities, reducing the travel time of people and also reducing pollution.
The president and CEO of Eve Urban Air Mobility, Andre Stein, says that disruptive urban air vehicles can bring benefits just as aviation has brought to longer trips. Embraer's partnership with Helisul allows innovation in Brazil's air taxi infrastructure, which is growing and developing more and more.
In addition to the partnerships with Helisul and Halo, Embraer also announced its partnership with Uber to develop flying cars to carry out commercial flights from 2023. Eve has studied several projects in recent years for the creation of an infrastructure of air taxi in the country to use the air vehicles.
