The Caixa Tem Card, Available Through the App, Promises Accessible Credit Even for Those with Bad Credit, with Digital Analysis and Payment Limit of Up to 40 Days
The Caixa Tem card has just made it to the list of favorites of the moment. With a credit limit that can reach R$ 4,500, total exemption from annual fees, and approval possible even for those with a bad credit history, the new product from Caixa Econômica Federal bets on inclusion to gain ground. And the best part: everything can be done directly in the app, without waiting in line, without a manager, and without bureaucracy.
The proposal is audacious and, for many, unexpected. The Caixa Tem card, born within the ecosystem created in 2020 to distribute Emergency Aid, is now reinventing itself as a gateway to credit for thousands of Brazilians. What was once just a social benefit app has turned into a complete financial platform, and now, with physical and virtual credit cards, it begins to serve an audience that until now lived at the margins of the banking system.
Quick, Digital Credit with No Hidden Fees
With a limit ranging from R$ 500 to R$ 4,500, the Caixa Tem card does not require issuance fees or charge annual fees. It is accepted inside and outside Brazil, with Visa or Elo brands, and features contactless technology.

Who Can Apply for the Caixa Tem Card
Unlike what is seen in private banks, approval does not depend on an impeccable banking history. The Caixa Tem card can be requested by any holder of the app’s digital account, including beneficiaries of programs such as Bolsa Família, Auxílio Brasil, and BPC. Even individuals with restricted CPF can obtain the card, as long as they demonstrate frequent financial transactions and active app usage.
Applying for the Caixa Tem card is a 100% digital process. Just update the app, access the “Cards” area, and fill in the required information: name, CPF, address, and, when necessary, income. The analysis is usually quick, and after approval, the physical card is delivered within up to 15 business days. The virtual card is available almost immediately, ready for online purchases or integration with digital wallets.
No paper, late invoices, or trips to the bank. The Caixa Tem card bill can be paid directly through the app, with account balance or via a boleto generated on the spot. It is also possible to settle the bill at lottery houses or Caixa branches. For those who prefer to automate, automatic debit is an option, and in tight situations, it is also possible to split the bill into up to 3 installments, with the application of interest.
