In a Strategic Move to Regain Its Position in the Brazilian Market, Chevrolet Announced the Introduction of 4 New Models in 2024 in Brazil, Including Updated and Fully Electric Versions.
After facing significant challenges due to increasing competition from the Stellantis group in Brazil, Chevrolet is poised for a turnaround with the launch of 4 new products in the country this year. Highlights include a deep update of the S10, the introduction of the Equinox EV, and the new versions of the Spin and TrailBlazer.
S10
The S10, one of the best-selling midsize pickups in the country, will undergo a deep redesign, inspired by the new American Colorado. The new S10 is expected to offer a more modern and imposing look, with full LED headlights, robust hood, new wheels, and LED taillights. Inside, the pickup will gain unprecedented features, such as a configurable digital dashboard and an 11-inch multimedia center. In terms of powertrain, the S10 will continue with the 2.8 turbo diesel engine, but a replacement of the six-speed automatic transmission with an eight or ten-speed transmission is expected to improve fuel efficiency. The new S10 is expected to be revealed in the first quarter of 2024, with a launch scheduled for the second quarter.
Equinox EV
Another important launch is the Equinox EV, a fully electric version of the Chevrolet midsize SUV. Built on the Ultium platform, the Equinox EV promises to be an ultramodern vehicle, offering an excellent combination of design, technology, and performance. The model will feature an electric motor with up to 288 horsepower and a 66.9 kWh battery, ensuring a range of up to 490 km. The Equinox EV is expected to hit the Brazilian market in the second half of 2024, with prices above R$ 300,000.

Chevrolet also plans to revolutionize the minivan segment with the new Spin. Recently unveiled, the Spin adopts a more crossover aesthetic, leaving behind its minivan identity. The model features a renewed external design, with highlights including a new grille and full LED headlights. The interior of the Spin has been completely redesigned, offering generous space and an extensive list of equipment.
TrailBlazer
And besides all these new features, Chevrolet will bring updates to the TrailBlazer, the SUV derived from the S10. The new TrailBlazer will maintain its 2.8 turbo diesel engine, but a more modern transmission and a refreshed interior and exterior design are expected.
These launches are a clear statement from Chevrolet that it is ready to reclaim its leadership position in the Brazilian automotive market.
