Strategic Project For Improving Urban Mobility And Quality Of Life
The construction of the new bridge over the Parati River is part of a broader project that includes paving the Porto Alegre Road and implementing access infrastructure, connecting Vila Porto Alegre to the center of Araquari.
This initiative is a direct response to the difficulties faced by local residents, who currently must travel a long route to reach the city center.
The project promises to significantly improve the quality of life, reducing commuting time and providing more comfort for the local population.
According to municipal authorities, the project will also have a positive economic impact, in addition to improving logistics and facilitating transportation for workers and students.
The bridge construction will not only benefit internal mobility but also the integration of Araquari with neighboring cities.
The regions of Joinville, São Francisco do Sul, and Balneário Barra do Sul, for example, will have their transportation routes facilitated, which may result in an increase in the flow of goods and, consequently, in local and regional economic development.
Joint Investment From The SC Government And State Deputies
The amount of R$ 30 million will be financed through a partnership between the Government of Santa Catarina and the Municipality of Araquari.
Governor Jorginho Mello, at an event held last Friday (14), ensured the release of R$ 25 million through the second edition of the program Santa Catarina Taken Seriously.
The program aims to finance major infrastructure projects in the state, and the construction of the Araquari bridge was one of the initiatives included.
In addition to state government resources, another R$ 5 million will be made possible through parliamentary amendments from state deputies Maurício Peixer, Fernando Krelling, Mateus Cadorin, and federal deputy Zé Trovão.
The collaboration of different government levels was seen as essential to making the project feasible, which has a total estimated cost of R$ 60 million, considering complementary works and access.
Commitment To The City And Benefits For The Population
For the mayor of Araquari, Gordo Jasper, the partnership with the state government and the deputies represents a significant advancement for the city.
In his statements, the mayor emphasized that the project will not only improve urban mobility but also boost Araquari’s economic growth.
“We thank the governor for his commitment to our city and all the deputies who are joining efforts to make this project a reality. With this structure, we will improve urban mobility, foster economic growth, and ensure a better quality of life for our population”, stated the mayor.
With the support of the state government and the confirmation of resources from parliamentary amendments, the Municipality of Araquari is now seeking additional funds to ensure the project’s completion and move forward with the next stages of the construction.
Local authorities are committed to ensuring that all project details are carefully planned and executed to meet the population’s needs and provide lasting benefits for the region.

Economic And Logistical Impacts For The Entire Region
The construction of the bridge over the Parati River will generate a significant economic impact not only for Araquari but for the entire North region of Santa Catarina.
According to estimates from the municipal administration, the project is expected to generate an annual savings of approximately R$ 32 million in logistics.
This is primarily due to the reduction in transportation costs and the improvement of connectivity between the cities in the region.
Companies operating in the Joinville area and other neighboring cities, such as São Francisco do Sul and Balneário Barra do Sul, will be able to significantly save on the transportation of goods.
The reduction in logistics costs is one of the major attractions of the project, which promises to boost local trade and industry.
Additionally, workers and students will have faster and safer access to the city, contributing to greater mobility and comfort in daily life.
How The Project Will Impact The Population Of Araquari
The direct impact on the residents of Vila Porto Alegre will be immense.
Currently, they have to take a long route of 40 minutes to reach the city center, despite the distance of only 700 meters.
This reality will change with the construction of the bridge, which will reduce that commuting time to just 7 minutes, offering more agility and safety for those who live and work in the area.
Moreover, the project will contribute to the urban development of the city, promoting improvements in access infrastructures and making the city more attractive for new investments and housing.
The construction of the bridge will also open up new possibilities for urban expansion and facilitate the planning of future works and projects in the municipality.
The Bridge Over The Parati River: A Landmark For The City And The Region
Undoubtedly, the construction of the bridge over the Parati River will be a milestone in the history of Araquari and the North region of Santa Catarina.
The project will not only bring direct benefits to the local population but also generate positive impacts on trade, industry, and regional mobility.
Araquari is poised to take a significant step towards sustainable development and the improvement of life quality for its inhabitants, and the construction of the bridge is the first major step in that direction.
Now, with the guaranteed resources, the city is preparing to commence work and transform local mobility, creating a more efficient connection between Vila Porto Alegre and the city center.
The promise is for a more connected, dynamic future with better growth prospects for Araquari and the entire region.
