The program was created to facilitate access to a driver’s license for low-income individuals who need the document for professional activities. All costs — such as medical exams, theoretical and practical lessons, and issuance fees — are fully covered by the Alagoas government.

Who Can Participate
To benefit from the Worker’s Driver’s License, applicants must:
- Be 18 years or older;
- Reside in Alagoas;
- Be registered in the CadÚnico by 12/31/2024;
- Have completed elementary education.
These requirements ensure that the benefit is directed to those who truly need it, reinforcing the social character of the program.
How to Enroll
Enrollment is only mandatory for those who have been approved in the initial registration phase. To confirm the spot, the candidate must:
- Access the Detran-AL website starting August 13;
- Look for the link “Worker’s Driver’s License”;
- Select the option “Pre-enrollment”;
- Log in and fill in the requested data.
Attention: missing the enrollment deadline results in the permanent loss of the spot and the right to a free license in this edition.
Why the Program is Important
For many families, the cost of the first driver’s license can exceed R$ 2,000, which makes access to job opportunities requiring a driver’s license unfeasible.
