A Canadian company called Taiga Motors recently announced that deliveries of the first units of the ‘Orca’ – the first 100% electric jet ski model on the global market – have already begun. This model is aimed at consumers focusing on silent operation and good performance.
The Canadian company has also developed some electric snowmobiles and plans to expand its lineup once its new factory in Quebec is operational.

With capacity for up to two people, the hull of the world’s first electric jet ski, which is available for sale in Canada, is made of carbon fiber (in the Carbon version) and comes in various colors and finishes, allowing for personalization according to the buyer’s taste. As it is an electric model, maintenance is also simpler than traditional models, the manufacturer highlights.
The Jet Ski Sold in Canada Has a Maximum Power of Up to 120 kW (or 160 Horsepower)
The Orca jet ski is available for sale in Canada in three versions, with different prices: Carbon, Sports, and Performance, and has a maximum power of up to 120 kW (or 160 horsepower). The range is about 45 km per charge, and the top-of-the-line version (Carbon) features level 3 fast charging technology, allowing it to reach 80% charge in less than 30 minutes.
The starting price of the jet ski is US$ 17,490, nearly R$ 94 thousand in direct conversion, for the Sport version. The Performance costs US$ 19,490 (R$ 104 thousand), and the Carbon variant, the most expensive, is priced at US$ 26,500 (R$ 142 thousand).
Samuel Bruneau, CEO of Taiga Motors, says this is an important milestone, as the Canadian company is one of the first to produce and deliver electric vessels on a large scale.
