Government of Ceará Will Count on Enel’s Help to Conduct Feasibility Studies for Green Hydrogen Production Projects
The National Energy Market Now Turns Its Attention to Green Hydrogen Production in the Northeast and South Regions of the Country, and This Week, Enel Green Power Brazil, the Renewable Generation Arm of the Enel Group in the Country, Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Ceará. The Document Provides for the Conduct of Technical, Commercial, and Financial Feasibility Studies for Future Resource Production Projects in the Ceará Region.
The Memorandum of Understanding Provides for a Partnership Lasting Five Years Between Enel and the Government of Ceará, Which May Be Extended if Necessary at the End of the Initial Period. The Main Objective of the Partnership is to Analyze the Assumptions That Influence the Feasibility of Green Hydrogen Production Projects, Fostering the Future Development of the Entire Production Chain in the Region.

In the Short Term, Enel Will Focus on Studies for the Development of a Green Hydrogen Production Plant in the State of Ceará, Using a Water Electrolysis Process with 100% Renewable Energy. Based on the Initial Results of the Studies, the Company Will Define the Technical Criteria and Its Strategies for the Future Development of Projects for Resource Production.
