With a base salary of R$ 3,412.63 and various allowances, including a meal allowance of R$ 1,000.00, the contest becomes even more attractive.
Opportunity at IFMG for Qualified Academics
The hired visiting professors will have a weekly workload of 40 hours, able to work both in person and in a hybrid manner, according to the institution’s needs.
The minimum requirement to apply for one of the positions is that the candidate must have held a doctoral degree for at least two years.
However, if the doctoral degree is not proven, the candidate may participate as long as they have recognized competence in teaching and technological research, evaluated by the Selection Committee.
This selection process seeks to hire professionals who will contribute to the advancement of teacher training programs and scientific and technological exchanges.
In addition to the base salary, there are other benefits such as transportation allowance and preschool assistance, making the positions even more attractive for professionals looking to invest in their academic careers.
Steps of the Selection Process
The selection process at IFMG will consist of three phases. The first involves the submission of documentation, which will be eliminatory.
In the second phase, candidates will be evaluated based on their Lattes Curriculum, which will be classificatory. The final stage will consist of an oral presentation of a project, which will be both classificatory and eliminatory.
In case of a tie in the final score, specific criteria will be used to break the tie among candidates.
The first criterion is age: candidates aged 60 or older will have priority. Other criteria include the highest score in the oral project presentation and in the curriculum evaluation, and finally, the highest age among the competitors.
