With Style and Standard Features That Please the Public, the Pickup Was Launched at a Lower Price Than Its Competitors
The Montana Premier 1.2 is the most complete version launched by Chevrolet, with a mechanical set that handles the task, but does not impress in performance. The pickup appeals to the public with its style, standard equipment package, and price, which is lower than that of the competition. Tested and evaluated by Vrum, the car received 8 points out of 10.
When it comes to size, the new pickup is closer to its competitor Renault Oroch, which is 4.71 meters long and has a 2.82 m wheelbase. Meanwhile, the Fiat Toro is slightly larger, at 4.94 m in length and 2.99 m in wheelbase. The Montana Premier measures 4.72 m in length and has a 2.80 m wheelbase.

The Montana Premier has a multifunctional steering wheel with a flattened base and height and depth adjustment, but it does not have paddles for gear changes. Additionally, Chevrolet employed a feature in the new pickup to integrate the touchscreen – an eight-inch display – with the instrument panel to make it appear as part of a single set.
The most complete version, Premier 1.2, has a suggested price from Chevrolet of R$ 140,490. This puts its closest competitors as the Oroch Outsider 1.3 turbo flex, priced at R$ 146,900, and the Toro Endurance T270 flex, which costs R$ 146,990.
Low Gasoline Consumption of the New Chevrolet Pickup
When it comes to fuel, the onboard computer revealed an average consumption of 11.7 km/l with gasoline in a mixed city/highway circuit for the new Montana. The best average recorded by the vehicle’s computer was 14.5 km/l.
The engine that powers the Chevrolet pickup is the 1.2 turbo, which delivers 133hp and 21.4 kgfm of torque when using ethanol. It works together with a six-speed automatic transmission, which allows manual shifts, but only via the button on the side of the gear lever.
As reported by Vrum’s evaluation, the Montana Premier has good handling and satisfactory performance. The engine is agile in starts when the pickup is unladen, showing better results when the RPM exceeds 3,500. However, if more weight is added, the performance becomes more compromised.
