Naval industry receives more than half a billion reais to invest in construction and repair projects, and Belov shipyard in Salvador (BA) leads priority

And it doesn't stop there, the Board of Directors of the Merchant Marine Fund granted R$ 202 million in priorities to Transdourada Navegação for the construction of 60 bulk barges at the Rio Maguari Shipyard (photo), in Pará.
The R$ 518 million to be financed in naval sector projects with resources from the Merchant Marine Fund (FMM) are aimed at building vessels for river convoys, in addition to monetary updates of projects prioritized in previous meetings. In maritime support, priorities were approved for projects for building, repairing and converting vessels.
Belov Shipyard in Salvador (BA), has priority for the construction of RSV and SDSV
The Belov shipyard received priority, with a total value of R$ 207,4 million, for the construction of two vessels: the RSV (vessel equipped with a robot) Belov Stella Maris and the SDSV (shallow dive) Belov Monte Serrat.
Bram Offshore and Alfanave also received funding for vessel repair and conversion. For Bram Offshore, R$ 21,6 million are earmarked for the class certification of PSV (supply transport) Bram Buck and WSV (oil well stimulation) Stim Star Brasil, in addition to the conversion of PSVs Bram Búzios and Bram Brasília , at the Navship Shipyard (SC).
Alfanave Transportes Marítimos, on the other hand, obtained priority for the repair and class certification and conversion of the PSV Campos Clipper, also on Navship, with a total value of R$ 12,8 million. Baru Offshore got priority, of R$ 6,7 million, for the repair and maintenance of a UT-4000 vessel, called Providência, at Estaleiro São Miguel (RJ).
In inland navigation, SC Transportes obtained priority, in the order of BRL 53,7 million, for the construction of a river convoy comprising an azimuthal river pusher tug, three box-type bulk barges and six raked-type bulk barges, at the Rio Maguari Shipyard (SHOVEL). Transdourada Navegação received priority for the construction, also in the ERM, of 60 bulk barges, 36 box type and 24 raked type, with a total value of R$ 202 million.
The Board of Directors of the Merchant Marine Fund also approved monetary updates for the Louis Dreyfus Company of previously prioritized priorities, in July 2015. One of them referred to the construction of a river tugboat, at the Shipyard Indústria Naval do Ceará (Inace), with a total value of BRL 1,46 million. The other corresponds to a monetary update and additional resources for the construction, in the same shipyard, of two river tugboats, with a total value of R$ 12,55 million.
The Board of Directors of the Merchant Marine Fund cancels financial support, due to the end of the term for contracting the financing.
One of them for the modernization and repair of four PSVs/OSRVs (Ilha da Trindade, Macaé, Martin Vaz and NS Loreto) from Oceanpact, which priority had been granted in July 2019.
Another two, approved in March last year, one of them for the construction of five Suezmax class tankers for the South American Tanker Company (Satco). The council also canceled the priority regarding the construction of a floating terminal for transshipment of grains, four river pushers of 1.800 BHP, a support boat of 600 BHP and 18 bulk barges of 2.000 TPB, by Mega Logística Serviços Portuários.
O CDFMM it also canceled two priorities granted in December 2020 and in January 2021. The first comprises funds for the construction of Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz, located in the municipality of Aracruz (ES). The second corresponds to the maintenance and repair of 16 Wilson Sons Ultratug PSVs, at the Wilson Sons group shipyard in Guarujá (SP). The priority of BRL 1,46 billion for the construction of the shipyard had been postponed since 2018. The maintenance of offshore support vessels, on the other hand, received BRL 92 million in priority from the CDFMM in March 2020, in a claim initially presented in 2018.
