Diagnosis Was Made for the Business Unit of the Santos Basin, Where Petrobras Holds Operations
The consultancy Grupo I Can has just completed the asset management assessment of the Exploration and Production Business Unit of the Santos Basin (UN-BS) of Petrobras. Since 2019, UN-BS has started implementing asset management in the unit, located in the pre-salt, to understand the maturity level of the organization and, from that, develop actions for the identified discrepancies.
“With this overview outlined, a diagnosis of asset management evaluation capable of identifying the current context of the organization within the asset management approach was needed to know whether the path taken by UN-BS and the P-69 asset was aligned with the requirements of the normative models NBR ISO 55001 and Landscape,” explains Tereza Soares, CEO of Grupo I Can and one of the evaluators of the diagnosis project.

“The gains from asset management techniques go beyond financial ones, as they strengthen the brand, impact sustainability, safety, skills, costs, and all areas of the organization to obtain the greatest possible value for the business based on how these assets are managed,” highlights the engineer, who holds the CAMA certification.
According to him, the results of UN-BS and the P-69 presented provided a high level of detail, acting as an additional facilitator in the development of the action plan, as well as the next steps to be taken by the organization.
“In addition, maintenance insights were provided, containing valuable information capable of promoting a review of the asset management planning strategy not only for UN-BS but, by extension, for all of Petrobras,” adds Ricardo Blanco, also an evaluator of the project.
