Also in MG, the construction company Odebrecht was chosen by Fundação Renova to continue the expansion works of the adductor system in Governador Valadares. The foundation is responsible for managing the entire environmental remediation process caused by the rupture of the Fundão dam, owned by Samarco, which occurred on November 5, 2015.

According to OEC, the contract is worth R$ 155 million and is expected to generate 550 job openings at the peak of the works. The new adductor will carry water from the Corrente Grande River to three Water Treatment Stations.
