The Federal Institute of Bahia (IFBA) has just released the announcement for the selection process of subsequent technical courses for the 2025 academic year. There are vacancies in several areas distributed among the institution’s campuses. The technical courses are aimed at those who have already completed high school and wish to pursue continuing education or professional training in technical fields.

Course Objective and Workload

The subsequent courses aim to provide students with technical training in specific areas, preparing them for the job market. These technical courses have a duration of 1.5 to 2 years, including a workload that may involve in-person classes, distance activities, and practical training, depending on the campus and the course. The planned activities include seminars, forums, practical classes, and periodic assessments.

Available Positions and Locations

The vacancies are distributed among the IFBA campuses. Units with the highest number of vacancies for technical training include Salvador, Feira de Santana, Camaçari, and more, with free technical courses in various areas of technology, management, and others. The announcement details the vacancies offered by each campus and course, ensuring a wide geographical coverage for interested candidates.

Selection Process

IFBA reserves 60% of the vacancies in free technical courses for candidates from public schools, according to the Quota Law. Within this percentage, there are subdivisions for candidates who self-declare as black, brown, indigenous, or quilombola and for individuals with disabilities (PwD). The selection will be made through electronic random draw, ensuring a fair and transparent process.

Requirements for Enrollment

To participate in the technical training selection process at the IFBA, the candidate must have completed high school. Additionally, it is necessary to have internet access, as enrollment is conducted online. Documents such as the school transcript and the high school completion certificate are essential for enrollment, as well as the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF).
