The Cecierj Foundation, linked to the Secretary of State for Science, Technology, and Innovation of Rio de Janeiro, has opened registrations for free Professional Qualification courses. The 2024 announcement offers various opportunities for those looking to improve their skills in Occupational Safety Management. In total, there are more than 300 slots for the free course offered in the distance learning format (EAD), providing greater flexibility for participants. Registrations will be open until September 19, 2024, and selection will be made by public lottery.
The online course aims to train professionals with specific skills, preparing them for the job market. The workload varies from 150 to 180 hours, and the content is offered 100% online, allowing students access to virtual classes, discussion forums, seminars, and assessments.
The online Occupational Safety Manager course is designed to be completed within a three-month period, and students will have access to teaching materials and technical support. It is worth noting that the course will be conducted remotely, facilitating access for candidates from different regions of the state of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. Participants will have the flexibility to study at home using digital platforms developed by the Cecierj Foundation.

Selection Process for the Free Online Occupational Safety Management Course
The lottery for the slots will be held based on the numbers from the Federal Lottery, and selected candidates will be automatically enrolled in the courses for which they registered.
The announcement provides for the reservation of slots for affirmative actions, attending to candidates from specific groups, such as low-income individuals and participants in the Unified Registry. The selection process will be conducted by electronic lottery, ensuring transparency and equal opportunities for all applicants. There are no tests or assessments for admission; classification will be solely by public lottery, which reinforces the accessibility of the process.
Requirements for Registration
The requirements to participate in the selection process include:
- Minimum age of 16 years (some courses require a minimum age of 18 years)
- Completed elementary education
- Access to a computer or smartphone with internet
- Basic internet navigation skills
- Active email without spam filters
Additionally, it is important that candidates have availability to dedicate about three hours per week to the proposed activities in the course, which include interactions in forums and collaborative knowledge building.
