GEMÜ Valves and Measurement and Control Systems Brings Expertise in Biogas System Installations from Around the World to Brazil
In addition to improving sanitation coverage for the Brazilian population, the new legislation regarding concessions for this service in Brazil tends to increase investments in biogas. This is an area that requires specific equipment and technologies to increase the current supply, which represents 8.9% of the country’s energy matrix (between biogas and biomass). Since 2015, the number of biogas plants has grown from 126 to 548 in 2019, according to CIBiogás.
By partnering with the Brazilian Biogas Association (Abiogás), GEMÜ Valves and Measurement and Control Systems aims to contribute with its technical knowledge and bring its international experience in energy generation systems. See below in the gallery some of GEMÜ’s Valves, Measurement, and Control Systems.

In Germany, the home country of the company, and around the world, GEMÜ has applications in the biogas area – particularly in generation plants using grass, where its technology, products, and know-how allow for the transfer of gas without leaks or contamination. To this end, the butterfly valve stands out, with potential uses for the diaphragm valve as well, which is GEMÜ’s flagship product.
