DOF Group recently announced that it has signed a charter agreement for an offshore support vessel (OSV) compliant with the Jones Act, intended to operate in the Gulf of Mexico, U.S.
The Norwegian company reported that it chose to contract an offshore vessel from Bordelon Marine, the Connor Bordelon, for a period of one year starting in March 2024. In addition, an option was included to extend the contract for another year.

Support Vessel: An Essential Asset for Offshore Operations
Built by Bordelon Marine Shipbuilders in 2013, the 257-foot-long vessel DP2 is equipped with a 60-ton SMST crane with active heave compensation (AHC) capable of operating in water depths of 3,000 meters. It features an open deck of 572 square meters, a helipad, and accommodations for 60 people.
Support Vessel: Advanced Technology for Offshore Projects
DOF stated that it will mobilize two heavy-class remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and research equipment onboard the vessel as part of the project. the integrated spread to ensure customer coverage between the end of the charter of the Ross Candies from Otto Candies in February 2024 and the start of the charter of the Cade Candies in 2025.
