Municipalities such as Figueirópolis, Alvorada, Talismã, Campinorte, Uruaçu, Rialma, and Rianápolis will be included.
The investment exceeds R$ 500 million, financed by the Amazon Bank (BASA) and BNDES.
The project is expected to generate about 1,400 direct jobs and 2,400 indirect jobs.
Deadlines and Expectations
According to the schedule, the completion of the works is expected in October 2026, with operations starting on September 30 of the same year.
The duplication is expected to directly benefit the 23,000vehicles that circulate daily through the stretch, increasing traffic capacity and ensuring more comfort for users.
Relevance to the Country
During the event, Guilherme Theo Sampaio highlighted the project’s impact.
“We are by the BR-153 giving the service order for the first 60 km of duplication. There is more than R$ 600 million in investment, and we won’t stop there. By the end of the ten-year concession, we will have the entire BR-153 duplicated in the state of Goiás. What does this mean? More road safety, efficiency in transportation, job and income generation, and ANTT being part of this national transformation,” he stated.
In addition to reducing accidents, the duplication will facilitate the flow of agricultural production and strengthen the region’s logistical competitiveness. ANTT will monitor every step of the work to ensure deadlines and quality, benefiting the population.
