Responsibilities
The Safety Technician will report to the Safety Representative and will be responsible for supporting activities related to occupational safety, aiming to ensure conditions that eliminate or minimize the risk of work accidents, observing compliance with all applicable legislation.
The Safety Technician Can:
Analyze work methods and processes and identify occupational accident risk factors, occupational diseases, and the presence of environmental agents harmful to the worker, proposing their elimination and/or control.
Cooperate with environmental activities, guiding the treatment and disposal of industrial waste, encouraging and raising awareness about the importance of the worker.
Support the company to operate in compliance with local legislation and client requirements.
Assist in recognizing and preventing unsafe acts or conditions to prevent accidents.
Participate in safety meetings on board, drills, and training on board.
Train and develop drilling personnel on safety programs and procedures.
Provide guidance for handling new employees or visitors.
Contact platform staff and the Human Resources Department.
Fully participate in all Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives and programs, as well as weekly safety meetings.
Follow Diamond Offshore’s Global Excellence Management System (G.E.M.S.).
Perform other tasks as necessary.

Educational Level
Hold a valid safety technician registration/certification.
5 or more years of experience as a Safety Technician in the Offshore industry.
Fluency in English.
