According to the Main Services (MSA), the company TechnipFMC will deliver the installation, maintenance, and intervention of equipment and tooling, as well as technical support for subsea umbilicals, fluwlines, and lifters.
This contract is signed for a period of about three years, including an option for an extension of about more than two years. These services are offered from TechnipFMC’s base in Macaé, Brazil.
According to the success of a previous MSA, it is said that the support increased Petrobras’s volume of operations.
TechnipFMC has not yet revealed details but stated that this contract is “substantial,” meaning it is worth between 250 million and 500 million dollars.

Jonathan Disembark, who is the President of Subsea at TechnipFMC, said: “This new MAS continues our long-standing partnership with Petrobras. We are delighted to continue this relationship through this direct award. For 40 years we have been providing services from Macaé, demonstrating the strength of our commitment to deliver services using our workforce in the country,” he emphasizes.
Recently, Petrobras contracted Aker Solutions for the provision of subsea production systems (SPS) and also lifecycle services (SLS) for its oil and gas fields.
It is worth noting that TechnipFMC launched this year in 2023, with a contract for engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI), acquisition with the oil and gas company Wintershall Dea Norge.
This contract encompasses the design, manufacturing, engineering, and installation of pipelines for the Dvalin North fields, which will be tied to the Heidrun Platform through the existing Dvalin fields in the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
