Evolution of the BSBIOS Brand to Be8
The national leader in biodiesel production, BSBIOS, announced its evolution to Be8, reflecting the company’s strategic growth and internationalization in the renewable energy market.
The change was announced in the 2022 edition of the Sustainability Report, where Be8 demonstrated its trajectory of environmental, social, and governance responsibility in the biofuels business.
Growth of Be8 in 2022
Despite the challenges faced by the global market, Be8 recorded consolidated revenues of R$ 9.6 billion in 2022, a 9% increase compared to the previous year.

The EBITDA totaled R$ 354 million, showing a growth of 12% compared to 2021.
The company attributes this success to the expansion of its production capacity and the appreciation of raw materials, which allowed it to maintain leadership in biodiesel volume produced in Brazil, with 14.24% of the sector’s market share.
Expansion in the Consumer Market
In 2022, Be8 served customers in 13 Brazilian states and expanded its exports to 12 countries, including South Africa, Bangladesh, Belgium, China, South Korea, Slovenia, Spain, India, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, and Pakistan.
The company also made its first commercial-scale biodiesel export from Brazil to the United States, reinforcing its international presence and the quality of the product produced in the country.
Investments and Global Presence
Be8 continued to expand its international presence in 2022, with the acquisition of a plant in Switzerland for the production of biodiesel from used cooking oil (UCO) and the purchase of the La Paloma complex in Paraguay for soybean crushing and biodiesel production.
The company is also developing the Omega Green project, which will produce advanced biofuels to meet strategic sectors such as civil aviation and the chemical and petrochemical industries.
Throughout 2023, Be8 plans to focus on its growth in Brazil, Latin America, and other regions, aiming to become a positive transformation agent in the energy landscape.
