Revo Announces Agreement of R$ 1.3 Billion with Eve to Bring Electric eVTOL Aircraft to São Paulo by 2027
The city of São Paulo may soon start to see flying cars in the skies. Revo, a high-end air mobility company, announced on Monday (16) that it has signed a contract with Eve Air Mobility, a subsidiary of Embraer. The agreement includes the purchase of up to 50 electric aircraft with vertical takeoff and landing, known as eVTOLs.
The news was revealed by João Welsh, CEO of Revo, during an online press conference. The announcement came in the same week as the 2025 edition of the Paris Air Show, the main event in the air transport sector. The contract is valued at around R$ 1.3 billion (US$ 250 million).
In addition to the aircraft, the agreement also involves investments in maintenance services, pilot training, and mechanic training. The aim is to prepare the entire necessary structure for the operation of eVTOLs in São Paulo.

“The airspace in São Paulo is quite congested. We need to train enough pilots to operate with this new technology, this new fleet,” said Welsh.
Arrival of Flying Cars: Challenges to Take Off
According to the CEO of Revo, there are still many obstacles before launching flying cars into commercial operation. He explained that the process requires time and preparation.
“We don’t want to rush anything. We have to create enough space for the Revo team to incorporate this new technology,” he said. Among the challenges are training professionals, installing charging points, and analyzing the region’s electrical capacity.
Another important point is air traffic control. Welsh emphasized that it will be necessary to adapt São Paulo’s airspace to accommodate the new aircraft without compromising flight safety.
First Flights in 2027
Despite the challenges, Revo is already working with a forecast. The agreed date for the start of operations is the end of 2027. According to Welsh, the first commercial flights may occur between the end of 2027 and the beginning of 2028.
“The agreed date is the end of 2027. Initial flights at the end of 27 and beginning of 28. When we feel we have enough maturity, we will begin commercial flights,” he stated.
With the partnership with Eve, the expectation is that São Paulo becomes one of the first major cities in the world to integrate eVTOLs into its mobility system.
