Wind power growth in abundance aims to generate 3,3 million new jobs by the year 2025 for the renewable energy industry
According to estimates from a study by the Global Wind Energy Council, published a week ago, wind energy will continue with record growth over the next five years, generating around 3,3 million jobs for the renewable energy market in the period. The wind energy capacity already installed reaches 751 gigawatts (GW), and has already generated almost 1,2 million jobs worldwide, according to the International Renewable Energy Agency.

Last year (2020), there were about 550 workers in wind energy in China, 260 in Brazil, in the United States there were 115 and in India there were 63, according to a global survey carried out by GWEC Market Intelligence.
GWE and the estimate of new jobs for the renewable energy market
470 GW are expected by 2025, which could create 3,3 million new jobs. According to GWEC, to achieve this goal, it will be necessary to set ambitious goals in the sector, long-term planning and a regulatory environment so that projects can occur within the expected time frame. According to the council, the impacts due to the pandemic have made the energy transition much more important, increasing the need for proactive reforms to allow the integration of renewable energy systems.
- Bill Gates continues to invest in the renewable energy revolution, this time with foldable wind turbines, which are easier to transport and can be assembled 10 times faster than conventional ones.

The council's report also points out that in the budgets to stimulate renewable energies, such as wind energy, of the G20 governments since the covid-19 pandemic, just over a third of the funds were allocated to renewables, which the GWEC considers insufficient volume.
Job vacancies for all genders and with diversity by the year 2025
The effects of the pandemic exerted inequalities in the system worldwide, in particular, in the relationship between gender and the labor market. According to a study by GWEC, analysts indicate that policies for post-pandemic recovery and economic stimuli must be linked to the just energy transition, which includes principles of diversity and workforce displacement.
However, female participation in these sectors is still small, and the new jobs generated by the energy transition are likely to follow the same old patterns. According to studies by Irena, in January 2020, women held only 21% of wind energy jobs. In renewable energy overall, they represent 32%, and in traditional energy industries, they represent 22%.
Generation of new jobs in wind energy in Brazil
Brazil reached 18 GW of installed capacity in wind energy in February, with approximately 700 power generating parks. According to a study by the Brazilian Wind Energy Association (abeeolic), between 2011 and 2019, wind energy generated almost 500 jobs per year in Brazil.
Nordeste will receive a new millionaire investment in the wind power sector of the renewable energy trader 2W
2W Energia will invest approximately R$950 million in the Northeast, building two wind farms: one in Cearรก and the other in Rio Grande do Norte, further boosting the Brazilian renewable energy sector.
The strategy for investing in wind power in the Northeast is due to strong growth in the free energy market, where customers with high demand can negotiate prices and supplies with trading companies.
The company expects that, in about 2 months, the mobilization for the works of the first wind energy park in the Northeast will begin, which will be in Anemus, in Rio Grande do Norte, with 139 megawatts and has a completion date scheduled for September 2022. The other investment will be the wind power plant located in Kairรณs, Cearรก, with 42 megawatts and construction is expected to start at the end of the second half, around December.
The renewable energy company secured a $45 million mezzanine loan from Darby International Capital. US$35 million will be used for the Anemus wind power project. The Kairรณs project should use the remaining amount of the loan. The company expects to receive funds from Banco do Nordeste for the works, which, in total, will involve an investment of R$ 950 million.
