Solar Energy: Transform Walls Into Solar Panels With An Easy Installation Solar Panel And Double-Sided Tape, Costing Only US$ 10 Per Square Meter
Solar Energy: Printed solar panel for only US$ 10 (approximately R$ 50) per square meter, promises to revolutionize Renewable Energy around the world. An Australian physicist argues that low-cost solar panel production could transform and universalize access to renewable energy.
Professor Paul Dastoor from the University of Newcastle is the mastermind behind this wonder, having employed printed organic solar cells to provide solar energy to screens and monitors during an exhibition in Melbourne.

Brazilian scientists are simultaneously advancing two research projects on clean hydrogen and driving solutions that could transform the energy matrix, enhance industrial competitiveness, and accelerate large-scale emission reduction targets.
Dastoor has been dedicated to this technology for over a decade and has recently begun a 200 square meter installation — the first commercial application of this kind in Australia and possibly in the world.
“It’s incredible how low the cost is and how quickly this technology can be implemented, especially since we urgently need solutions to reduce the consumption of base load energy — a concern that has intensified as we approach another summer here in Australia,” commented the physicist.
An Industrial-Scale Printer Can Produce Hundreds Of Meters Of The Solar Panel Daily
Although the printed solar panel technology is not as efficient as silicon-based solar energy and degrades more quickly, Dastoor believes that the low production and installation costs could make it competitive.
The commercial installation was carried out by Kardinia Energy in just one day by a team of five workers, and an industrial-scale printer is capable of producing hundreds of meters of the solar panel daily.
