Eneva’s President States That Acquiring The Urucu Polo Is Part Of His Company’s Growth Strategy
The president of Eneva, Pedro Zinner, stated that the Urucu Polo aligns with the company’s growth strategy. “It is a large asset, even when compared to Petrobras’ portfolio. We have the capacity to operate it. Our significant competitive advantage is that we have access to the gas molecule at a competitive price,” Zinner said.
Currently, Eneva is conducting its first project in the North region, the development of the Azulão Field in Amazonas, also acquired in Petrobras’ divestment process. The field will supply gas to the Jaguatirica II thermoelectric plant (UTE), with an installed capacity of 132.3 megawatts (MW), under construction in Boa Vista, Roraima. The company maintains its projection for the start of integrated operation in October 2021.
