Open Positions Without Exam in the Brazilian Army for Candidates with Completed Elementary School. Learn How to Participate and Which Steps to Follow for Available Positions.

The 5th Military Region of the Brazilian Army, which encompasses the states of Paraná and Santa Catarina, is accepting applications for positions without a competitive exam. Interested candidates can apply for the position of Temporary Corporals, lasting up to 8 years. This is a unique opportunity to join the Army without the need for a public examination. Requirements to Participate in the Simplified Process for Open Positions Without Exam for the Corporal Position

Candidates who have completed elementary school and a vocational course in one of the following areas can apply for the open positions without an exam in the Brazilian Army:

Automotive Electrician Assistant with at least 1 year of proven experience;
Building Electrician Assistant with at least 1 year of proven experience;
Mason with at least 1 year of proven experience;
Road Machinery Operator with at least 1 year of proven experience;
Diesel Engine Mechanic Assistant with at least 1 year of proven experience;
Driver with Category “D” or “E” License;
Automotive Sheet Metal Assistant with at least 1 year of proven experience.

Other requirements for the opportunities to join the army include being a native or naturalized Brazilian, being at least 19 years old by December 31, 2024, being a maximum of 40 years old on the date of incorporation, according to section I of Article 27 of Law 4.375/64 (Military Service Law), included by Law 13.954/19, being up to date with Military Service for male candidates, and current with Electoral Justice. Guide on How to Compete for Open Positions Without Exam in the Brazilian Army

The opportunities are intended for the admission of Temporary Corporals who must serve, if approved in the selection, for a minimum period of 12 months and a maximum of 96 months, or eight years. Those interested must register for free between July 1 and July 15, 2024, through the 5th RM website.

For registration, a profile must be created to fill out personal data and indicate the selection process, area of interest, choice of preferred military garrison, and entry of curricular data. After registration, participants for the positions without exam in the Brazilian Army will compete in the following stages:

Curriculum Analysis;
Practical Test, only for candidates in the Road Machinery Operator area;
Submission of Documentation and Proof of Titles;
Health Inspection (IS);
Physical Fitness Exam (EAF);
Complementary Health Inspection;
Incorporation.

Main Selection Stages Present in the Simplified Selection Process of the Army

The Curriculum Analysis will be conducted by the Special Selection Commission and will be applied to the highest-scoring candidates in each area of interest. The number of candidates analyzed is determined according to the needs and limitations of the Administration.

The practical test aims to verify, in candidates, the level of specific technical knowledge of the activities to be developed after incorporation. This will be applied only to candidates in the Road Machinery Operator area with at least 1 year of proven experience.

Proof of the exercise of activities must be made according to the information in the official notice. For experience, proof will be through the presentation of the Work and Social Security Card or a service/work contract that specifies the duration of service, the position, and the activities performed.

Finally, only candidates deemed fit in the IS or ISGR will take the Physical Fitness Exam (EAF). The exam consists of push-ups, sit-ups, and a free running test for 12 minutes.
