ExxonMobil Will Allocate R$ 287,500 for the Donation of Food Baskets in Sergipe
In this phase of the assistance action, ExxonMobil will allocate R$ 287,500 for the donation of food baskets with basic nutrition and hygiene items. The donations are part of the “Balaio Solidário – Sergipe Sem Fome” campaign and will be carried out with the support of the Rahamim Institute, a Civil Society Organization of an assistance nature operating in the state.
“The Rahamim Institute has been working for 20 years on the development of communities in situations of social vulnerability in Sergipe, and throughout the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, we are seeking solutions to alleviate the suffering of families in greater vulnerability. ExxonMobil’s contribution will bring great relief to families in Sergipe facing severe food insecurity,” said Cristiano Lima, founder and CEO of the Rahamim Institute.
The identification of families to be assisted by the campaign was made by volunteer partners of the Institute who conduct social mapping in the region. The distribution plan for the baskets covers the municipalities of Aracaju, Barra dos Coqueiros, Lagarto, Laranjeiras, Nossa Senhora da Glória, Nossa Senhora do Socorro, Poço Redondo, Porto da Folha, Salgado, and Neópolis.
The distribution will be organized in accordance with sanitary protocols for Covid-19 prevention, including temperature checks, use of masks and 70% ethanol, as well as social distancing in cases of collective delivery.
