Currently, Cargill employs 500 workers, but the company anticipates that at the peak of construction, 700 people will be engaged on-site. According to the company, the next steps include completing the construction and will generate about 100 direct jobs in the region.

About HM Pectin
HM pectin is widely used in the food industry for dairy beverages, juices, fruit candies, and is responsible for acting as a stabilizer, thickener, and gelling agent.
Brazil was chosen to host the factory, among other factors, because it has an abundant supply of citrus fruits.
