Specialization Focused on Language Teaching
According to the published announcement, the course will be offered by the São José Campus of IFSC, with online classes and assessments conducted remotely.
The aim is to prepare professionals to work in teaching foreign languages in basic education, strengthening their pedagogical and methodological competencies.
According to IFSC, this specialization is aimed at educators who wish to expand their skills and meet the demands of the job market, which increasingly requires qualifications in foreign languages such as English and Spanish.
This initiative seeks to promote educational inclusion, allowing teachers from different parts of the country to qualify without the need for travel, a factor that can make all the difference in a growing distance education landscape.
Distribution of Spots
Spots are limited and divided between two specific qualifications:
- Teaching English: 50 spots.
- Teaching Spanish: 50 spots.
This division allows candidates to choose the area that best suits their profile and professional goals.
Moreover, the option to choose between two languages increases the chances of meeting the specific demands of different educational institutions, preparing participants to teach in public and private schools in an efficient and innovative way.
Transparent Selection Process
As informed by IFSC, the selection process will be conducted through an Electronic Public Lottery, ensuring equal opportunities.
The lottery will take place on December 18, 2024, at 11 am, with live broadcasting on IFSC’s official YouTube channel.
The list of selected candidates in the first call will be announced on December 19, 2024, starting at 6 pm, on the IFSC website. This methodology aims to ensure transparency and reliability in the process.
Course Details
The course aims to prepare teachers to face the challenges of contemporary teaching, addressing active methodologies and technological resources applied to language learning.
In addition to synchronous classes, students will have access to teaching materials developed by experts in the field, allowing for a dynamic and interactive learning experience.
This differential places the course among the best specialization options in the EaD modality currently available.
Application and Enrollment Calendar
Those interested must register for free on the IFSC website, between November 25 and December 13, 2024.
Approved candidates must submit the necessary documents for enrollment between February 3 and 7, 2025 via an electronic form provided in the announcement.
