Foundation Opens Thousands of Spots in Free Online Courses with Access Rules and Defined Deadlines for Class Start, Requiring Attention from Candidates from Registration to the First Month of Activities.
The Technical School Support Foundation, Faetec, has opened 15 thousand spots in free professional qualification courses in the distance modality, with online registrations until January 30, 2026, and classes scheduled to start on February 9.
The training lasts 20 weeks and includes options in areas such as technology, programming, marketing, languages, computer science, administration, and inclusion, with online access for candidates from different regions of the country.
The spots will be filled according to the order of registration, and each candidate can choose only one course.

Senar opens more than 3,000 vacancies in free technical courses for 2026 with 9 programs in agriculture, hybrid education EAD + in-person, registrations until May 26 and simplified selection without exams throughout Brazil.
When the available quantity is exhausted, the system automatically places the interested party on a waiting list, used in case of cancellations or the opening of new spots during the beginning of the semester.
According to the criteria of the announcement, it is necessary to have completed Elementary Education and meet the minimum age requirement, which varies depending on the course, starting from 16 or 18 years old.
There is no maximum age limit to participate, but the candidate must be able to keep up with classes in a virtual environment, with cell phone, computer, or tablet connected to the internet.
Free Faetec EAD Courses and the Access Rule
In addition to expanding free qualification offerings, Faetec linked the retention in the spot to a digital attendance rule right at the beginning of activities.
The announcement states that, during the first month of classes, any student who remains 15 consecutive days without accessing the virtual environment may be considered inactive and lose their spot, which will then go to the next person on the waiting list.
This measure aims to prevent spots from being occupied by registrations from those who do not start the course routine, especially in classes with high demand.
For students, the practical message is clear: it is not enough to secure registration, frequent access will be necessary in the first weeks to avoid the risk of automatic disconnection.
The announcement also details that, in specific situations, it is possible to request reactivation of enrollment after inactivity, provided the request is made within three calendar days.
Even with this possibility, the implicit guidance is to monitor the platform from the start, as the spot may be quickly reassigned to someone waiting in line.
Who Can Register for the Free Courses
The selection for the distance modality follows a simple model.
Entry occurs by chronological order of registration, recorded by the system at the time of form submission.
As the process depends on the candidate’s CPF, the announcement establishes that registrations made with the CPF of third parties may be canceled.
Another central point is the requirement for minimum access structure.
As the course is 100% online, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure they have suitable electronic equipment and a stable connection to attend classes, complete activities, and participate in assessments.
In practice, this means that, even though the course is free, it requires a routine of using the virtual environment to keep up with content and maintain ties with the class.
In a statement released along with the launch of the vacancies, the Secretary of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Anderson Moraes, said:
“These courses allow thousands of people to prepare for new opportunities, update their knowledge, and have better chances of entering the job market.
It is a public policy that reaches those who need it most”.
Faetec also highlighted its focus on courses connected to current demands.
According to the foundation’s president, Alexandre Valle:
“Faetec continues to expand access to professional qualification, with courses aligned to the current needs of the market.
The distance format ensures total flexibility and inclusion, allowing more people to access quality education”.
Deadlines, Waiting List, and Start of Classes
The official schedule states that the registrations for cycle 2026.1 will be open from January 16 to January 30, 2026, and the start of classes is set for February 9.
In this same planning, Faetec anticipates stages for the publication of listings and results throughout the beginning of February.
This reinforces the need to monitor the candidate area to avoid missing important communications.
The waiting list logic is directly linked to the access rule.
When there is a cancellation, loss of a spot due to inactivity, or documentation problems, the foundation calls the next registered candidate, respecting the chronological order.
This means that for those who were unable to enter immediately, there is still a chance of being called, especially at the start of the course when class adjustments typically occur.
The announcement also differentiates the initial period from the rest of the course.
After the first month, absence from access and participation may characterize abandonment, with rules different from those applied during the active enrollment confirmation phase.
The official documentation mentions circumstances that may lead to cancellation due to withdrawal or abandonment after this period.
How to Register for Faetec’s Free Courses
Registration is done exclusively online, in the online courses area of Faetec. The candidate must fill out the form, choose only one course, and use their own CPF.
The deadline goes until January 30, 2026. It is essential to follow the status of the registration in the system.
Those who remain 15 consecutive days without accessing the platform in the first month may lose their enrollment and give their place to the waiting list.
