The Foundation for Supporting Technical Schools of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Faetec) has initiated the selection process for free initial and continuous training courses at CAEP Favo de Mel. Aimed at young people and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), these courses represent an excellent opportunity to enter the job market with professional qualifications. Attention! Spots are limited and the selection is conducted by lottery, ensuring transparency and equal opportunities for all participants.
In total, there are 20 spots distributed among four different courses. There are nine spots for Waiter’s Assistant – Cumim, two for Office Assistant – Continuous, four for Kitchen Assistant, and five for Hairdresser and Barber. The courses last for two years, which can be extended for another year of work experience, depending on the performance and needs of the students. Who Can Participate
To register, you must be at least 18 years old and have a CPF number. Additionally, candidates with intellectual disabilities and/or ASD must present a medical report referencing the corresponding code from the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) or the International Classification of Functioning (ICF). If the number of applicants is less than the number of spots, all candidates will be automatically approved for the next stage.

The Selection Process Will Be Divided into Two Stages
The first stage consists of a public electronic lottery scheduled for July 16, 2024. The selected candidates will be classified in numerical order, and their names will be published on the Faetec website.
In the second stage, the selected candidates will undergo a psychosocial model interview, where their skills and competencies, as well as their support needs in the workplace, will be assessed. This stage will take place on July 24, 2024, at CAEP Favo de Mel, located at Rua Clarimundo de Melo, 847, Quintino Bocaiúva, Rio de Janeiro.
Results and Enrollment
The final results of the selection process will be announced on July 26, 2024, both on the Faetec website and at the CAEP Favo de Mel unit. Enrollment for the selected candidates will take place from July 29 to August 2, 2024, from 9 AM to 3 PM. To complete the enrollment, it is necessary to present the required documentation, which includes a birth certificate, CPF of the candidate and the legal guardian, proof of residence, medical report, among other documents specified in the notice.
