Format of classes and certification in Inclusive Education
The training titled “Inclusive Education in Practice” has a workload of 120 hours and will be conducted entirely online. Students will use the AVA Moodle platform of the Muzambinho Campus to access the content in EAD format.
This flexibility is ideal for professionals already working in the education network who need to balance studies with their work schedule.
Moreover, the certification holds significant weight for a teaching career. The document, issued by a federal institution and valid throughout the country, requires that the student complete at least 60% of the proposed tasks.
The certificate is usually released within 90 days after the course ends, serving as proof for title examinations and functional progressions.
Target Audience: Who can fill the vacancies?
The Federal Institute designed this free course to be inclusive, understanding that inclusion is a duty of all school agents. Therefore, the announcement allows registration for:
- Basic and technical education teachers;
- Students of undergraduate courses;
- School managers and pedagogical coordinators;
- Specialized Educational Assistance (AEE) professionals;
- Other interested parties in the theme of inclusion.
Legal context and impact on special education
According to PEBSP, the offering of this course in 2026 is directly linked to the new Brazilian legislative scenario. At the end of 2025, federal decrees (No. 12,686 and No. 12,773) established the National Policy for Inclusive Special Education.
The government’s goal is for more than 2 million special education students to be included in regular classes by the end of this year, with billion-dollar investments in infrastructure and training. Thus, the training offered by the Federal Institute in the EAD modality becomes a strategic tool.
While the country invests in assistive technology and accessible transportation, the human preparation of teachers and managers is what guarantees the effectiveness of the inclusion of students with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), disabilities, or giftedness. Therefore, specialization is a concrete step to align teaching practice with national education goals.
