Harley-Davidson created an entry-level motorcycle that seems impossible for those who only know the brand’s big bikes: the X440 uses a 440 cc single-cylinder engine, delivers 27 hp, 38 Nm, a declared fuel consumption of 35 km/l, and showcases a small, rational, and much more accessible Harley in India.
The Ford Ranger Black, initially introduced in the Argentine market at the end of August, is expected to arrive in Brazil by the end of October.
This version, which has not been available since the launch of the current generation, comes with a 2.0 turbodiesel engine, the same engine that powers the XL and XLS versions in Brazil.
These configurations currently cost R$ 244,990 and R$ 264,490, respectively, according to September 2024 data.
According to the autoesporte website, the model to be sold in Brazil will have some differences compared to the Argentine version, such as a six-speed automatic transmission, with an estimated price exceeding R$ 270,000. This new Ranger Black will sit between the XLS 2.0 version and the XLS V6, which costs R$ 289,990.

Engine And Performance: What Changes In The Ford Ranger Black?
The Ranger Black features a 2.0 turbodiesel engine with 170 hp and torque of 41.3 kgfm. The Brazilian version is expected to come with a six-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 traction, as seen in other available 2.0 versions on the market.
Additionally, Ford continues to offer the Ranger with a V6 3.0 turbodiesel engine, delivering 250 hp of power and a robust torque of 61.2 kgfm.
Another highlight is the sporty Raptor version, with its V6 3.0 gasoline engine, delivering an impressive 397 hp and 59.4 kgfm.
Impactful Visual And Dark Details Of The Ford Ranger Black
The visual of the Ranger Black does not go unnoticed. With an all-black design, it stands out with the details on its body.
The front grille is completely black, accompanied by fog lights with halogen bulbs and darkened mirrors.
Additionally, the pickup comes equipped with 18-inch black wheels, side steps, and a roll bar, reinforcing its robust and modern identity.
On the side of the bed, it’s expected that the Brazilian version will bring the “4×4” badge, indicating the all-wheel drive that should be one of the strong points of this version.
Inside the cabin, the leather and fabric seats follow the “Black” concept with unique details. The famous phrase by Henry Ford, “So long as it’s black”, is etched on the sides of the front seats, reminding of the brand’s pioneering spirit.

Top-Notch Equipment And Technology
Just like the XLS version, the Ranger Black is packed with technology and safety features. The model includes seven airbags, digital air conditioning, emergency braking system, and three driving modes.
Other conveniences include rear parking camera and sensor, multifunction steering wheel with adjustable height and depth, wireless phone charger, and an 8-inch color digital instrument panel.
10-inch multimedia center with connectivity for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is also part of the technological package of the new pickup.
Paint Versions And Impressive Dimensions
In Argentina, Ford offers the Ranger Black in two paint options: Pearl Black and Metallic Silver. In Brazil, the options have not yet been confirmed, but it is expected that they will follow the same colors. The price in Argentina starts at 48.6 million pesos, equivalent to about R$ 281,500 in direct conversion.
The Ranger Black maintains the same dimensions as the other versions, measuring 5.37 meters in length, 2.20 meters in width (including mirrors), and 1.88 meters in height.
The wheelbase is 3.27 meters, while the cargo capacity in the bed reaches 1,023 kg and the total volume is 1,250 liters.

Mysterious Cabin And Market Expectation
During a visit to the Ford Proving Ground in Tatuí (SP), Autoesporte found the Ranger Black with sealed windows and black stickers, adding more mystery about its interior. The model was locked, preventing cabin details from being revealed.
Now, the big question is: is the price of the Ford Ranger Black justified by its specifications and exclusivity? With the return of this model to Brazil, there is great consumer expectation, especially for those seeking a robust, technological vehicle with a distinctive design.
