The FPSO, which will be the first to be installed under the production sharing regime, should follow the model that Modec has already been using, with the hull conversion in Asia and part of the manufacturing and integration of topsides modules in Brazil.
The FPSO for Búzios V is in the engineering detailing phase, and its construction should begin at the end of this year or the beginning of next year.
The FPSO for Búzios V will have a 21-year contract, will be installed in the northern part of the field, in water depth of 1,900 m, about 180 km from the coast, and will have the capacity to produce 150,000 bopd and compress 6 million m³/d of natural gas, being connected to up to 15 wells.
