Projects in China
Modec has two other FPSOs under construction in China. The FPSO Guanabara, which will be installed in Mero, is having its hull converted at the DSIC shipyard, and the Carioca, which will be installed in the Sépia field, is undergoing conversion works at the Cosco shipyard.
The first FPSO to operate under the production sharing regime in the Búzios field will be named by Petrobras as Almirante Barroso and will be the first with the name of Brazilian national heroes, given that the company’s practice was to name units after Brazilian cities or bays in the country.
