Unique Opportunity for Professionals to Act in the Growing Energy Economy.
Ecom Energia launched a national call for independent agents, placing a special focus on talents from the Northeast. The goal? To ease the transition for high voltage companies consuming less than 500 kW per month as they prepare to enter the Free Energy Market in January 2024. The nuances of the program will be revealed in Recife during the Absolar Meeting Nordeste event on September 28. Registrations can be made directly through the Agentes Ecom website.
Enhancing Professional Potentials
Agentes Ecom is not just a representation program. It empowers individuals from various backgrounds to become competent consultants in the energy market. As a result, sectors such as hospitals, supermarkets, shopping centers, and even bakeries have the opportunity to take advantage of the free energy market. With the continuous support of Ecom’s technical and commercial team, agents can earn substantial commissions, some even exceeding the mark of R$ 50 thousand on a single project.

The world could operate on clean electricity by 2050, but a study indicates that this would require up to 20 TW of renewable energy, more than 9 million hectares for solar, and strong cooperation between countries.

New catalyst developed by scientists in the USA enhances the performance of water electrolysis without using platinum, reducing operational costs and expanding the potential of green hydrogen as a strategic alternative for industries, heavy transportation, and clean energy generation.

The era of solar panels attached to roofs is beginning to change with transparent glass that generates energy while keeping the view unobstructed, and perovskite photovoltaic windows already tested in offices in Japan promise to transform entire facades into invisible power plants without blocking light or altering the appearance of buildings.

The era of silicon alone in solar energy comes to an end with the arrival of perovskite, a material that captures a broader light spectrum, is applied as a thin film, and, together with silicon, reaches a theoretical limit of 45% efficiency in tandem modules.
This year, more than 300 professionals were trained by the program, without the need for prior experience in the energy sector. However, those already with experience in commercial areas, electrical installations, or maintenance, for example, may find a closer alignment with the profile sought by Ecom.
Transforming the Northeast into an Energy Hub
Felipe Sapucahy, COO of Ecom, sees the Northeast, especially Pernambuco and Bahia, as regions with incredible potential for the Free Energy Market. “Ecom agents can be catalysts for local income generation, becoming valuable partners for entrepreneurs in exploring this expanding market,” he says.
The training is offered by Ecom specialists, covering areas such as regulation, market scenario, and energy solutions. Aiming to meet the needs of SMEs, which will soon be able to reap the benefits of the energy market, the training equips professionals to begin their work immediately after completion.
A Bright Future in the Energy Market
With the opening of the Free Energy Market in 2024, SMEs will have the ability to choose renewable energy sources and contracts that could result in savings of up to 30% on their energy bills. And Ecom is at the forefront of this movement. The company is already preparing the migration of several businesses and has ambitious goals for its expansion in the retail market in the coming years. Currently, Ecom is negotiating 700 MW of average wholesale energy and aims to dominate 15% of the retail free market by 2027, representing a potential of 15,000 to 20,000 clients.
Ecom Energia’s trajectory over the past five years is impressive, having provided a savings of R$ 2 billion for the companies served.
