How Did You and TAG Face the Challenges of 2020, With the Pandemic Strongly Influencing the Brazilian Economy?
“The main objective of TAG since the beginning of the pandemic has been to preserve the health and safety of its employees and suppliers, adopting preventive and protective measures, such as the adoption of remote work for carrying out activities, and ensuring the continuity of its business, considering that gas is an essential input for Brazilian society. The pandemic did not bring significant impacts on the company’s economic-financial performance, given that the business model of the gas transportation sector involves high capital investments and long-term contracts, which ensures greater revenue predictability and stable cash flow. However, a global crisis always brings concern and generates effects for companies.

Company’s Outlook and For You in 2021?
“We believe that the year 2021 should be one of economic recovery for the country, and for this reason, the company has been investing in its assets and the technical improvement of its workforce, in order to maintain its operational excellence and prepare the company for the growth opportunities that are emerging with the opening of the gas market in the country. TAG has an ambitious investment plan for the next five years, exceeding R$ 1 billion, focusing on modernization, integrity, and security of its assets, ensuring business sustainability and its long-term expansion.”
Recommendations and Suggestions You Would Make to the Government in This New Year About to Begin?
“We have the premise not to comment on political issues. We understand that the country has experienced recent advances, such as the approval of the Social Security Reform, the new legal framework for sanitation, and the New Gas Law in the Chamber of Deputies, now being processed in the Senate. Brazil needs legal certainty, respect for contracts, and a solid regulatory framework, with independent agencies so that private investors have an interest in making the large investments in infrastructure that the country so desperately needs.”
