Be8 Is The Largest Biodiesel Producer In Brazil And Is Now Allocating Investments For The Production Of Biofuel In Southern Brazil, In Paraná
Be8, formerly BSBios and the leading biodiesel producer in Brazil, announced an investment of R$ 1.5 billion in a new soybean processing unit in Marialva, in the state of Paraná. The goal of this investment is to expand biodiesel production. It is expected that construction will begin within the next six months, with completion anticipated two years after the start of construction, according to Isto É.
The new investment unit will have a processing capacity of 5,000 tons of soybeans per day, which will be used to produce oil, meal, and soybean hulls. The extracted oil will be used as raw material for the production of biodiesel, while the other byproducts will be sent to the feed industry.
With this investment, Be8 aims to strengthen its position as one of the leading companies in the biodiesel industry in the country. Additionally, the expansion of biodiesel production contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, as biodiesel is a renewable energy source and more sustainable compared to fossil fuels. Be8’s investment demonstrates the continued growth of the biofuels sector in Brazil, driven by the search for cleaner energy sources and concern for environmental sustainability.

Expansion Of Be8’s Biofuel Production
In addition to the investment in the new soybean processing unit in Marialva for biodiesel production, Be8 has also recently increased its biofuel production capacity at its Paraná plant. This marks the sixth expansion investment made by the company, raising the installed capacity by 15.4% to a total of 540 million liters per year. With the completion of the new unit, the company estimates that daily soybean consumption will reach 85,000 sacks.
It is important to highlight that Be8 has other strategically located biofuel production units. In addition to Marialva, the company has a biodiesel factory in Passo Fundo, in Rio Grande do Sul, and has international biofuel plants in Switzerland and Paraguay.
This expansion and investment in biofuels demonstrate Be8’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the biofuels sector and contributing to the production of renewable energy in a sustainable manner. The company is dedicated to meeting the growing demand for biofuels, driven by the search for cleaner alternatives and concern for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
